In 2005, John was a student at Tulane University in Louisiana. In August of that year, New Orleans was devastated when Hurricane Katrina hit the area, and John evacuated the state and was relocated to UVA until his school and the area could be rebuilt. And that’s where he met Bailee.
Their story is such a beautiful picture of the beauty that can be found in the midst of devastation and grief. I love so much that found each other after John was forced to leave his home. And their story gets even more beautiful because Bailee and John both ended up going back to New Orleans, and that’s where they were living in the months leading up to their wedding day. Just amazing.
Bailee and John are both so laid back, kind, and genuine. It was so fun (and easy!) to capture the love that they have for one another. And did I mention that they were married at The Clifton Inn? I absolutely LOVE this venue, and working with Crystal Whittaker of The Event Company made the day even more amazing. Here are just a handful of my favorites…
Such a sweet first look.
Their sweet dog, Texas, had to be included in a few as well! Such a cutie.
Bailee, you’re gorgeous!
Bailee & John: Thank you so much for inviting me to capture this part of your story! What a gorgeous day. I wish you both all the best!
