About a week ago, I photographed my very last wedding of the year. And I couldn’t have picked a more perfect wedding to close the year… It was just gorgeous.
Carrie and Rory were actually evacuated from their new New Jersey home due to Hurricane Sandy about a week before their wedding day. They were always planning on getting married here in Virginia, but thoughts of their wedding were put on hold, and their dream to get married outside seemed pretty unrealistic considering the weather that faced the entire east coast.
But a week went by. And the sun came out. And their wedding day fell on one of the most gorgeous November days that I’ve ever seen. It was so gorgeous, in fact, that the two were even able to have their ceremony outside… after the sun went down! The whole day was so full of love and family… it was just incredible, and I loved being there to capture it.
I love these images that Kristen grabbed before the First Look!
Because their ceremony took place after sunset, Carrie and Rory decided to have a first look, and the light was just ridiculous! I loved capturing the love between these two. It was so powerful and genuine. They made my job incredibly easy!
Kristen grabbed both of these images while I was photographing the girls, and I am in love. Could Rory’s sons (Jack and Finn) be any more handsome?!
One of the highlights of the evening was definitely the toast given by Rory’s son, Jack. In fact, I think he stole the show.
Dancing outside on the patio? Yes, please!
Carrie and Rory: Thank you for inviting me to be a part of your day! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!
