Courtney and Marc were married right here in Warrenton two weeks ago, and I’ve been looking forward to sharing their wedding ever since! I’m still getting used to shooting and waiting on film… Sometimes it’s hard to be patient! But I’m so thankful that I waited to post this wedding because the mix of film images is just so lovely.
Courtney and I have actually been friends for several years now, and I was absolutely thrilled when she approached me about photographing her wedding day! She’s a photographer as well, so it was quite an honor for her to trust me with her wedding images. And I loved every SINGLE minute of this day. She and Marc have actually been together for years, and they have three beautiful daughters. And while their wedding day was a celebration of the love they share as a couple, it was just as much an affirmation of the love they share as a family. And that was just so beautiful to capture. I also fell in love with Whiffletree Farm all over again. I’ve been there many times in the past, but this was the first time the farm has ever hosted a wedding. The setting was just perfect!
There is honestly a point at every wedding that leaves me feeling a little emotional. At Courtney and Marc’s wedding there were actually several, but the one moment that sticks out most is when Courtney read aloud a letter that Marc had written her. It was just so beautiful, and I was so thankful that they had an amazing videographer there to capture it!
I love both of these mother-daughter moments.
Courtney, you are stunning! I mean, seriously.
Marc was looking pretty handsome too.
Courtney and Marc originally planned to have their ceremony down by a small brook on the farm’s property. Unfortunately, it wasn’t logistically possible, so we opted for portraits there instead. As we made our way down to the water, Courtney saw this tree and knew she wanted to climb it. I mean, seriously?! This is officially one of my favorite wedding images of all time.
Just a few more portraits right at sunset…
Courtney and Marc: I cannot thank you enough for inviting me to share in your joy. What a wonderful, blessed day! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!!
