This morning, Maggie, Caleb, and I met some friends at Hartland Orchard to pick strawberries. It was so much fun! It also felt a bit like deja vu because I photographed Maggie picking strawberries two years ago when I was pregnant with Caleb, and it’s hilarious to me that I’m pregnant again!
Maggie loved finding the ripe strawberries and filling up her little blue basket. Caleb just loved eating them.
Guess who’s celebrating his half-birthday today?! Eighteen months is such a fun age. When we found out that we were expecting baby #3, I immediately felt overwhelmed by the fact that Caleb was still a baby. But he’s getting so big! While I definitely looked forward to him becoming more independent, I’m suddenly aware of how quickly time is passing. So we’re celebrating this little milestone and trying to savor every moment. (Tonight, we’ll probably have strawberry pie to celebrate!)
I’ll end with a photo of Caleb running away from me. Despite the cute photos that I was able to capture of him, this is actually how he spent most of the morning!
If you live in Fauquier County, make sure to head over to Heartland during strawberry season. Their strawberries are so delicious… I think Maggie at about a dozen before we even left!
