— It looks like I’m making it a habit to post about two months at once!
— July was a lot of fun… despite the fact that I was eight-months-pregnant.
— I photographed my very last wedding before going on maternity leave, and on the very same day, Tim and I celebrated our seven-year-anniversary! Those seven years have flown by.
— We went to the lake with Tim’s family, and we had such a wonderful time. Caleb rode on the boat for the very first time, and Maggie actually tried the jet-ski. I did a lot of sitting… and floating.
— When we got home, Tim and I decided to move Caleb into Maggie’s room in preparation for the baby. I can’t believe how well it went (and how well it’s still going)! Maggie and Caleb actually love sharing a room. One of my new favorite things to do is to quietly sit outside the door so that I can hear them talking to each other when they don’t know that I’m listening. Adorable.
— Being pregnant is tiring. At the end of July, I was ready for baby Gardner to arrive… and luckily, we didn’t have to wait much longer! Baby Micah arrived on August 9th… three days after his due date!
— Micah is a fairly “easy” baby. I realize that this is a relative statement, but Tim and I are often surprised by how much he doesn’t cry. I have memories of spending hours trying to calm Maggie and Caleb when they were babies, but Micah is pretty laid back. He cries when he’s hungry. And he’s just now starting to make little sounds when he’s awake. Yeah, he’s pretty cute.
— I’m so thankful that Micah is a little easier than his siblings were at his age. Because, let’s be honest, having three kids under four is WILD. Just wild.
— Caleb’s vocabulary is growing so much! I picked him up from the church nursery on the last Sunday before Micah was born, and my friend informed me that he can count to fifteen. No he can’t. (That was my response.) But after my friend insisted that Caleb could do it, I asked him to count. And he did it. He’s a genius! And his face breaks into the cutest grin whenever he counts out loud.
— Maggie finally started dance class! Our little dancing ballerina is finally spreading her dancer wings in an actual class. And she’s loving it! I can’t think of many things cuter than six little three and four-year-olds dancing around a studio. It’s absolutely adorable.
— Maggie and Caleb are both so sweet with Micah. They love to hold him and kiss him. It warms my heart.
— September is here, and things are moving right along! I shot my first wedding post-baby on Saturday, and I moved into my new office this week! More about that soon…
