kate + andy | black horse inn wedding

I’m sure that when Kate and Andy first decided on their wedding date, they weren’t worried about the possibility of snow.  Rain or cold weather?  Maybe.  But October snow?  Not a chance.  However, Kate and Andy were married last Saturday, and it did snow.  In fact, the sky spilled rain and snow almost all day here in Warrenton! What I love most about Kate and Andy is that the cold weather couldn’t dampen the joy of their celebration at all, and the snow definitely made for a memorable wedding day!  In fact, Andy’s family is actually Scottish, and I was told that the weather was fairly typical for a Scottish wedding. I loved imagining that we had all been transported to Scotland for the afternoon!

Kate and Andy are such a sweet couple.  I loved watching them enjoy their wedding day, and capturing their love was such a treat.  I also really enjoyed photographing a wedding right here in Warrenton.  I felt like a guest at a party for old friends.  It was such a beautiful night!

Kate started the day at her parent’s house, and the setting was just lovely while she got ready…

Kate and Andy’s wedding ceremony took place at St. James Episcopal Church.  The sanctuary is so beautiful, and the dim light really gave the celebration a cozy feel.

Right before the bridal party was introduced into the reception, the sky opened up to the most beautiful sunset!  It was just perfect.

I love the cozy feel of the Black Horse Inn.

one more…

Gorgeous wedding! I love the picture of St. James. I grew up in that church and always wanted to see a wedding there.
