I met Lauren for the very first time five years ago. We met at a wedding, and that seems so fitting because our friendship grew in the years that followed as we photographed countless weddings together. I almost can’t believe that it was only five years ago. Because this girl? She is one of my dearest friends.

I don’t even know where to begin when I think about Lauren and Nate’s wedding day. If I had to use one word to describe it, the word that I keep coming back to (over and over again) is simply intentional. From their first look, to their personal vows, to their (incredible!) first dance, to the way that Lauren invited her father to the dance floor… every element was just so sweet, and memorable, and so perfectly them. I’m so proud and thankful to call these two my friends. They have a love that they’ve worked hard for, and being able to capture their wedding day was such a special gift.

This is where the girls started their day… Verulam Farm, you had me at hello.

Lauren, you are STUNNING!

Theirs was one of the sweetest first looks I’ve had the pleasure of capturing. Nate’s reaction to his bride is just so perfect.

One element that made this day extra special for me was that I also had the privilege of standing alongside Lauren’s best friends as a bridesmaid. Susan Solo was an incredible second shooter, and she captured the following image as well as most of the ceremony and reception! (Susan, you are amazing!) I really loved the different bridesmaid dresses and the guys’ grey suits. The colors look so nice together!

The ceremony was just so gorgeous…

After the ceremony, we grabbed just a few more images before heading into the reception. The light was just incredible.

Lauren and Nate broke into a choreographed dance after their introduction, and it was AMAZING! I’m dying to see Josh’s video of this!

Last one…

Lauren and Nate: What can I say? Your wedding was just incredible, and I’m so thankful to call you both my friends. Congratulations!! I know you will be happy for a lifetime together.

*** This post wouldn’t be complete without giving a major shout-out to Lauren and Nate’s vendors. They pulled together such an incredible team, and I was so struck by how every one of their vendors had a kind heart that went right alongside their incredible talent. It was such a joy to work with these people! ***

Kristen! This is one of your absolute best. The photos are gorgeous! You did such an amazing job, and if I didn’t see it with my own eyes I wouldn’t think it was even possible to be both a wonderful helpful bridesmaid AND a photographer at the same time. You’re awesome! And Tim, too!

Kristen, we can’t thank you enough! These are amazing and we are so grateful for everything you have done for us!

If I can make one critique though…I would have re-worded the paragraph about you being the photographer as well as a bridesmaid to include the title “Superwoman” to describe your ability to do it all!
