Just about five years ago, I made the decision to stop shooting portrait sessions altogether in order to focus solely on wedding photography. At the time, I was pregnant with my third baby (in the span of four short years!) and things at our house were
insane a little hectic. I knew that something had to give, and for me it made a lot of sense to let go of portrait photography. Looking back, I’m so thankful that I made that call. I know that I’m a better photographer for it, and I can also find a great deal of comfort in the fact that my schedule has worked so well for my family.
Fast forward to this summer, and my littlest love just started preschool! For the first time since my oldest was born (almost eight years ago) I have a very structured and reliable weekday work schedule. And as this season approached, I knew it was the right time to start shooting portraits again! So this fall, I am opening up a small handful of dates for lifestyle portrait sessions and one weekend (November 14th & 15th) for family mini-sessions. Stay tuned for more details!
There is something really special about the love that is shared within a family… I can’t wait to capture that again! If you’d like more details about either of these sessions, feel free to shoot me an email! Spots are limited, but I will definitely have more openings again this spring.
