normal day.

Normal day,
let me be aware of the treasure you are.
Let me learn from you,
love you,
bless you before you depart.
Let me not pass you by
in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow.
Let me hold you while I may,
for it may not always be so.
One day I shall dig my nails into the earth,
or bury my face in the pillow,
or stretch myself taut,
or raise my hands to the sky and want,
more than all the world, your return.

I adore this post! (Well, I adore all of your posts! :) ) Thank you for the reminder of the joy in normal days. I see your "babies" and realize that my "normal" days as I've know them for the past nine years are numbered. I am cherishing this year of Pre-K before my last "baby" goes to Kindergarten. I'll learn a "new normal" next year, but right now, I'm going to enjoy some "play doh" time :).

I had never heard of this poem, but how true it is…because the moments go by, the years go by too fast, and all we have are the precious memories, or even some regrets of what we should have done…and that is why gparents live for their gbabies so we can spoil them w/o regret. Hope I didnt ramble on too much, but the poem and pics did bring some tears and memories! Love ya and these precious babies… Karen (GaGa)
