Just one year ago, baby Micah looked like this…

I can’t believe how much things have changed!

On August 9th, Micah Christopher celebrated his very first birthday. I can’t believe that our littlest love is already one! I adore his sweet little soul. He’s such a precious baby, and his laugh is one of the cutest sounds on the planet. We love him so much.

Micah was actually a surprise. I always tell people that Maggie and Caleb were surprising, but Micah was a stare-at-the-pregnancy-test-in-disbelief surprise. Caleb had just turned one when we found out that a new baby would be joining our family, and I was pretty nervous about it. I’m so thankful that we don’t have the power to plan out every aspect of our lives. I can’t even begin to imagine our family without Micah… everything would just be different without him, and I’m so overwhelmed with love and gratefulness for his precious life and his perfect place in our family.

This last series was taken at Rady Park a couple of days after Micah’s actual birthday. Tim was working late, and I was heading home from my parents’ house with the kids. They were all in their pajamas, but I couldn’t get over the gorgeous light, so we stopped for a few quick pictures. The photos of the three of them just make me smile… Maggie is trying desperately to get everyone to cooperate, and Caleb doesn’t quite know what’s going on. Mostly, Micah just smiled at me. So typical.

Last one of the birthday boy.

Happy Birthday, sweet baby Micah! You’ve made me fall in love with surprises.

Kristen, you and Tim have such beautiful children. These photos are precious! I love the one of Maggie and Caleb kissing their baby brother! So sweet! And the fact their in their PJs makes it even more adorable!
