— I couldn’t choose a favorite photo, so I’m just going with a handful of my favorites this month.
— It might be because Tim is still in the school system, but I’ve never let go of the “back-to-school” feelings and emotions that accompany the arrival of September. This year, September marked the beginning of being a mom to three and going back to work. Throughout my entire pregnancy, I looked with dread when my eyes traveled over the calendar and landed on September. I expected it to be really hard and full of tears. But you know what? It was actually quite lovely.
— Three days before Micah’s due date (and six days before he was actually born) I found out that an office space I was interested in opened up right in Old Town Warrenton! I moved in at the beginning of September, and I love it! It’s such a sweet little space for meeting clients, and it’s right by the Red Truck Bakery. Just perfect.
— Maggie finished the summer session of her very first dance class. She loved it so much that we signed her up again! In the past year, she’s become so much more independent. I love seeing her becoming more confident and sure of herself!
— Maggie also started preschool last month, and she absolutely loves it. I’m just thankful that I’ve gotten her there on time every morning!
— Caleb is talking so much more these days. I love hearing how much his language is developing, but I also adore the words that he mispronounces. Here are a few of my favorites: Bokah (Micah), Boonah (Brandon), Maddie (Maggie), Ah! (yes). And though he loves to impress us with his expanding vocabulary, his two favorite words these days are “no” and “self”. The latter means “Lay off, I can do it myself”. You can imagine how much fun that is when I’m out by myself with all three kids.
— If I can’t understand what Caleb is saying, I usually ask Maggie to translate.
— Micah is smiling more and more, and he even lets out a laugh every now and then. His sweet personality makes our lack of sleep a little easier to take.
— Tim and I both love being parents in the Fall. I feel like there are so many fun things to do, and the weather is just amazing. On the days that haven’t rained, we’ve welcomed October with open arms. I’m looking forward to all the fun things we have coming up!
