I think it’s safe to say that most couples hope for clear skies on their wedding day. But can I be honest? I think there is something really magical about a rainy day wedding. Everyone has to snuggle together under umbrellas, and the ceremony and reception often feel so cozy. A rainy wedding day definitely has it’s own special vibe, and I love celebrating all the beautiful things that make these days particularly wonderful. Lucky for me, Katie and Ryan felt exactly the same way!
Katie and Ryan could not be sweeter, and I loved every minute of their gorgeous wedding day. They are both kind and thoughtful, and it was such a joy to be able to capture the love that they have for one another. I absolutely adore them both! They were never sad about the rain– instead they embraced the weather, and their joy was contagious! From the moment I walked in to where the girls were getting ready, I knew the day was going to be amazing…
Katie and Ryan’s reception was held at the Springfield Manor Winery & Distillery, and that’s where the guys began their day! We couldn’t have asked for a lovelier backdrop.
Katie and Ryan are actually college sweethearts, so they decided to incorporate their alma mater by having their ceremony at the Mount Saint Mary’s chapel.
Married!
I actually first met Katie and Ryan last year when Katie’s sister Kristen was married. I always fall in love with my couples and their families, so getting to be with a family again for another wedding is always a dream come true!
Katie, you are gorgeous!
Love.
Last one…
